Lydia Hileman:
Lydia Hileman has always had a love and passion for animals, but horses were always her favorite. She started riding horses at seven years old and begged her parents to buy her own horse. Her dream became a reality when she turned twelve years old. She always loved riding horses and seeing what she was capable of as an owner. She also competed driving draft horses and minis at the Bedford fair, and was elected youth representative of the Bedford Animal Draft barn.
Lydia has always had an interest in working with horses and learning new things. She has ridden many horses, but she sensed that Suzanne’s were different. She saw that Suzanne’s horses were extremely responsive and was impressed by how they seemed to be so willingly guided. Lydia realized that the talent and training in Suzanne’s program was different and she wanted to learn more about it. Lydia wanted to learn how to become a better horseman, understand more how horses think and behave, and learn the steps to making a great and dependable horse. In February 2025, Lydia joined the Next Level Horsemanship internship program to develop and grow as a young trainer.
