Product Review

When we find a product we can’t live without it’s like a wonderful thing!  So we thought if we like them so much maybe you will too.  Below are some of the products we have put into our Must Have list and wanted to share with you so that you too can reap the benefits of these great finds.

  • EquiFuse line of horse hair care products:

    • EquiFuse brand is by far that best hair care products we have found for our horses.  They have a sulfate-free mane and tail shampoo (Citrafoam ), and conditioner (CitraCream); a concentrated body shampoo that can be used with a foamer (CFS Concentrate + Paste Shampoo); a concentrated coat protector and conditioner (ReHydrinse); a shine spray (Shine Perfect); and a shine serum (Gleam).  All of their products are all natural and encourage hair growth.  I can attest to the quality of these products  as they make the horses SO shiny and leave their manes and tails exquisitely soft and manageable.  I like these products so much I now use the shampoo and conditioner on my own hair!  Follow this link to watch a short video of how to use the products in the 6-step program.  If you decide you want to try them click here and save 10% on every purchase when you enter the code SM at checkout.
  • Hands on Grooming Gloves:

    • These little gems are a wonderful tool for helping to remove dirt and grime from deep within your horse’s coat and they have the added benefit of giving a well deserved massage to your horse with each use.  My horses LOVE getting groomed with the hands on grooming gloves.  I like them because they are easy to use and they really get rid of shedding hair.  They are exceptionally great too for currying the legs where you might not want to use a hard bristle brush or curry comb.  Keep one pair in your grooming box and another in the bathing bin.  They are great to use with the Equifuse body shampoo during bath time to clean your horse very well.  These gloves can now be purchased in our shop if you follow this link.
  • Hay Chix Hay Nets:

    • The Hay Chix hay nets are some of the easiest loading nets I’ve ever used.  I was introduced to this line of products at a horse show when I saw someone who had a whole bale of hay hanging in his horse’s stall.  He was using the whole bale net by Hay Chix.  I LOVED the idea of being able to have hay in front of my horses at all times especially at shows or for our horses in training. That provides a very natural grazing scenario for the horses even when they have to be stalled.  This company has a variety of nets to choose from (whole bale, half bale, mini (holds two flakes), large round bale, west coast bale) and several net mesh sizes for different feeding rates.  I recommend the heavy duty net vs the original in whichever mesh size you choose.  We use them now for feeding all of our horses in a stall or in the dry lots.  I like putting a bale in the west coast nets and then inserting the bale into the tire feeder in the dry lot for feeding multiple horses.  We have saved a lot of money in hay no longer wasted by using these nets.  The half bale nets are perfect for stalls, or in the trailer.  No more wasted hay!  Click here to see a video of how easy these nets are to use.  To order go to HayChix.com.
